Anya is a siren warrior raised in the island of Cryan. She was trained by her mother Salya and her father Malu. Salya was a siren from Mermaid Falls whom met young sailor and warrior Malu while saving him from a rogue wave. While on his ship, “The Triton“, Malu and his crew searched for an ancient hidden treasure. The treasure was said to be left behind by Cryan sailors while escaping capture from pirates.
Malu fell in love with Salya while drowning in deep ocean waters. Right after the last drop of oxygen left his lungs, he felt the soft siren’s lips gently touch his and then fill his lungs with revitalizing breath. At that moment, he looked into her amethyst eyes and heard her captivating voice whisper, “You are now safe”. While they swam back to the shores of Cryan, their warm bodies remained very close until an irresistible passion and love united them as one. At that very moment, Anya was conceived.
On the island of Cryan, Malu taught Salya the ways of the warrior. He saw a potential in her that he could not deny. She possessed great inner strength, calmness, and balance – the three pillars of the Cryan warrior. Salya was receptive to the training as if she had always known the ways of the warrior but only needed someone to guide her on how to follow her chi – an energy flow she knew well how to harness.
Salya gave birth to their child Anya, a precious siren child with the gift of heightened intuition. Anya left her mother’s womb practically by her own free will, meaning that the birth was effortless for her mother. There was no resistance to leave the womb, which is contrary to most newborns. The experience of coming into the world for her was almost as if she had a plan the entire time she was in her mother’s womb and the time had come to begin her journey. When baby Anya first looked into her mother’s eyes, a deep feeling of love and peace filled both their hearts.
Anya grew up to be a fierce, yet collected warrior. Her father and mother were very proud. She was gifted The Oracle’s Blade. She later on became a master and taught the other sirens in Mermaid Falls the ways of the Cryan warrior. To this day, Anya prepares the sirens for the the possible battle predicted by the Oracle.
Anya is a siren with a very serious demeanor. She often replies to the other sirens in riddles and parables. She is a puzzle to solve when it comes to predicting what she is thinking or feeling. Anya can often be found at Siren’s Cove meditating or practicing with her sword. The other sirens in Mermaid Falls respect her as if she were an elder. They often ask for advice and are presented with a question they are told to take a week to answer. The answer often brings a resolution so that it came from within rather than without.
Anya’s desire for real combat conflicts with the need for peace. Each day she seeks balance through her practice and her role of master instructor.
