Mika is a siren with a vivacious personality and is often referred to as the firecracker among her peers. She is very curious and inquisitive by nature. Mika is often seen running around Mermaid Falls asking questions incessantly. Some sirens get annoyed, while others see it as charming and gladly abide to the endless inquisition. Oftentimes, one question leads to fifty others.
Mika’s curiosity makes her a quick study and an excellent resource for information. She’s often been tasked to conduct research at the University of Mermaid Falls. Mika is assigned as a substitute teacher for the younger mermaids as well. She is very loved and students look forward to seeing her everyday. Mika is outgoing, adventurous, spontaneous, helpful, and playful. She can brighten anyone’s mood, even Leilania’s.
Mika has a keen ability to communicate with all the creatures of the sea. She has a deep connection with the sea creatures and can sense when they are in distress. It is believed that Mika knows magic and can telepathically communicate with the sea creatures by using a rare pearl given to her as a gift by the oracle.
Thanks to Mika’s powers, the dolphins of Mermaid Falls were able to rescue Kaleena and transport her to the siren’s location for caretaking. Mika is Kaleena’s siren companion.
Mika likes to spend a lot of time in the library studying astronomy and physics. She is fascinated with the dimensions of time and space. Mika often stays up late at night making wishes upon falling stars. Her main wish is to explore beyond the aquatic queendoms and Mermaid Falls. Mika secretly hopes that Kaleena and Leilania will take her with them to visit their planet one day.
Mika comes from a line of siren elves. Centuries ago, a beautiful siren looking for premium shells to make an exotic necklace visited an island near Mermaid Falls called “Agape”. On the island lived a tribe of elves with magical powers. The head of the tribe – a very handsome, dark, tall male elf – caught eye of the beautiful siren and heard her singing. He was deeply captivated by her. The siren then caught eye of the elf watching her and instantly felt a connection when their eyes met. The two talked for hours about their worlds and decided to spend the rest of their lives together. This is how the story of Mika’s ancestry evolved. The ancient library within the Abandoned Castle holds books documenting their love and triumphs. A power couple they were indeed, an elf and a siren.
